Meet the Nutritionist

Kim Kaplan


Kim Kaplan is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN), which is a board certification in functional/holistic nutrition. Kim takes an integrative approach to nutrition and healing. She nutritionally evaluates and counsels people from all walks of life with a variety of health conditions. She has extensive gluten allergy experience and has a particular interest in working with mental health issues, including depression and anxiety, and people who feel “burned out” who are seeking healthy lifestyle changes.

Kim earned her bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and a master’s in Human Nutrition from The Ohio State University. She holds Certificates of Training from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in Childhood and Adolescent Weight Management as well as Adult Weight Management. She completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training at MindBody Centering Yoga studio in 2010.

Kim decided to pursue a career in nutrition after reading and being inspired by some of Adelle Davis’ books back in the 70’s. She was born in Minneapolis, MN and has lived in Ohio, New York, Virginia, and now resides in Hillsborough, NC. She enjoys gardening, cooking, spending time in nature and with friends. Outside of work, Kim likes to learn new skills, practice yoga and pursue her personal interests.
